War memorial
When I was walking around St. Kilda the other day, I came across this war memorial. I found it very interesting that it is right off the side of the road. It just down the street from the Cantani Gardens. This memorial is for "The Great War 1914-1918". It was erected by the citizens to honor those that served and to remember those that gave their lives. I was touched by the memorial and took some pictures that I added below. I couldn't help but think about how my father and grandfather were soldiers and survived war. It is an honor to know they served their country. I think it is great that soldiers here in Australia are honored as well.
